Hilton Hotels in Scotland

     Hilton hotel group is one of the best known brands in the accommodation industry, well known for offering a luxurious brand of accommodation. Most hotels in the group have a 4-5 star rating and are well know for high levels of service and often a price per night to match.

In Scotland there are currently 11 Hilton hotels as well as 1 Doubletree Hotel which is affiliated with the Hilton. The following is a brief description of each Hilton hotel in Scotland along with the location and estimated price per night.

Edinburgh

     There are three Hilton hotels in Edinburgh, two have a city centre location and the other is in close proximity to the Airport.

     The Edinburgh Grosvenor Hilton is the close to Haymarket rail station and still within walking distance from Princess Street and the main attractions of the city centre. The price per night is anything between £70 -£230 depending on room size and time of year.

     The Caledonian Hilton is rated at five stars and its the most central Hilton in Edinburgh situated at the top of Princes Street and in a great location for exploring the city centre. The rooms are quite spacious and the upgraded rooms offer great views of the city or Edinburgh Castle. Prices here are more expensive from £112 to £300 and above.

     The Hilton at Edinburgh Airport is only a couple of miles from the airport and is an ideal stop for those going to or from the airport. There is a free shuttle service that can take you to or from the airport and also a range of business services such as internet and meeting rooms. Prices from £97 - £200.

Glasgow

     Glasgow Grosvenor Hilton is just a couple of miles from the main city centre but is only a short walk from the Botanical gardens. There are a range of rooms available with rooms to sleep one, two, three or four persons and Standard or Superior rooms available. Prices from £91 - £150.

     Glasgow Hilton is more central than the Grosvenor with the city centre only a short walk away. It is five star and is also pretty well situated for the airport with it being only a 15 minute drive away. The rooms have great views of the city and there are a good range of facilities on offer including a pool and fitness centre. Prices from £79 to £185.

Dundee

     Dundee does not have a large selection of luxury hotels but the Hilton is one of the top hotels in the city. It has a fantastic riverside location looking out towards fife and is only a few minutes walk from the main rail and bus stations. Good value for money with prices ranging from £67 - £130.

Aberdeen

     The Hilton Treetops is a few miles outside of Aberdeen in a rather quiet and peaceful area. The location is excellent with both the whisky trail and castle trails in this region of Scotland. The hotel has facilities for business or leisure with a 60ft indoor pool and 16 meeting rooms. Price Range £68 - £143.

There is also a newly built Doubletree by Hilton hotel just outside the city centre of Aberdeen. It is close to the beach and is only about a 15 minute walk from the city centre.

Aviemore

     The Hilton Coylumbridge is perfectly situated in the heart of the Highlands in the popular skiing village of Aviemore. There is some spectacular scenery in the surrounding area which includes the Cairngorm National Park. There are comfortable standard rooms or luxurious superior rooms available and prices range from £70 to £300.

Dunkeld

     The Dunkeld Hilton is in central Scotland only a few miles away from the city of Perth which can be easily reached by bus or train. The hotel is set in over 250 acres of grounds and is a perfect getaway location fro relaxing and enjoying some top Scottish scenery. Prices range from £116 to £246.

Ballater

     The Hilton Craigendarroch is situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park and it has an excellent range of facilities and plenty of outdoor activities. The facilities include a spa and lagoon swimming pool and the activities include quad biking and rock climbing. You can choose a standard guest room or splash out for a luxurious suite which has a Jacuzzi. Price Range £119 - £200+

Strathclyde

     The Hilton Strathclyde is situated under an hours drive from both Glasgow and Edinburgh. It is a four star rated hotel and it is in an ideal location for using as a base to tour the central belt of Scotland. The rooms can sleep between one and four people and the price range is £49 - £151.
